God tier service and food!!!

Mediocre food and really bad service. Won’t be coming back but good location and good pastries.

Came here to meet folks before a bike ride. We sat outside and they brought our drinks outside. The pastries were tasty. The service was friendly. The restrooms were clean.

Great food, nice staff members, regularly fantastic mood. They charge affordable rates and the food quality is great. Keep up the good work.

My coffee was barely warm, but the pastries looked legit.Edited after 2nd-chance visit: The staff here have a serious attitude issue. I really wanted to like this place (my husband is French! I love France!), but I was made to feel like I was asking for the moon when I asked for French bread and a strong coffee... Urgh, the Parisiens are known for being rude AF. Maybe they are a little too authentic in that sense.

I was there yesterday with friends and family and the food was outstanding! Profiterole is absolutely delicious!!! I wish I would have taken some to go.

Great service and good food. Lots of choices for breakfast lunch or just a snack. I come here often while taking a walk and enjoy my visit always.

The breakfast croissants were unreal and massive. So delicious.

Before leaving this I went here a few times assuming it was just a bad day. So I gave it time and they found a way to make it worse. This place is in so desperate need of a barista. A latte is not coffee with boiling milk on top where you can’t even touch the cup. And talking to the employees is like talking to a brick wall. Nobody is home. This last time they got nothing right with my meal. And when I told the employee, she agreed and said sorry. Then just took the food to the back. No refund. No ask to have it remade. Nothing. That was it. So I was left standing there. I’m definitely making sure I don’t recommend this joint.

Very nice place in Hermosa beach to have a fabolouse breakfast with good coffe a d croissants! Love it!

The real taste of the French pastries! I for the first time taste the real French pastry flavor out of Paris. The seating outside the restaurant where the fresh air close to the ocean is just amazing. This cafe is awesome, a little expensive but I believe for the taste and the location it is certainly worth it.

Wonderful little cafe with outdoor seating on an active plaza. Extensive menu, with an obvious attention to quality and details. The dish I ordered was the best meal I've had in months, but don't tell my wife!

Loved the Mexican hot chocolate💗. Cashier was a gem. Bakery was beautiful!

Wow , wow, wow! Visiting from Illinois (west of Chicago) We were recommended this place by our Lyft driver and I'm so glad she did. The desserts are amazing! Unlike anything I've ever had. The quiche was to die for! Then the coffee, so great and the fresh squeezed orange juice. Weve come back every morning so far and we arent even anywhere near it, that's how great it is. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a great place to eat ! :)

It's cozy, delicious food. Somewhat pricy but that's the area. Also, steady crowd, so they can keep prices up. Nice place to hang out and people watch.

I stopped in here in need of an emergency iced coffee after another local establishment set me over here. I resisted getting a quiche though I regret it now. The staff was super friendly and nice and got through the line in no time! My iced mocha was delicious and the 2 espresso shots did their job, and 2 thumbs up on using Lavazza Coffee!

If you are in Hermosa Beach, you have to stop at Bonaparte eatery and bakery: I suggest you enjoy one of their delicious and huge croissants and an espresso, it is Lavazza!

It was terrible. We ordered a mocha latte, several pastries and quiche. The service was terrible .. pastries and coffee were served first, the coffee was already slightly warm and half spilled. We waited for a quiche for 30 minutes or more, we were not given it until we reminded them the third time, all the coffee was already cold. Pastries was so so..

This is a lovely french style cafe with a beautiful outdoor sitting area. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. Fast and friendly service.

Light Euro Centric fare - outdoor patio on Pier Plaza 5 doors down to Hermosa Beach Pier. Pier Ave here is walk in only. Park in structure or lot to the North. Dog friendly & a beautiful setting w/ no cars driving by

Cafe Bonaparte is just on the edge of being good, and just bad enough I won’t go there if I don’t have to.The food is alright, but not nearly good enough for what they charge. I’ve been to this cafe a few times now, but today really made me see that the restaurant / coffee shop does have problems. Previously I’ve ordered coffee and some of their special pastries or salads etc. However, today I ordered an iced latte along with a bagel and opened my laptop. I asked but apparently this place has no WiFi. So I placed my laptop away, not a big deal, but then it came my order. The bagel thin as a pancake from going through a panini press, and the latte about as good as a standard Starbucks latte (not very).If a business wants to position themselves as a higher end cafe with decent food and not an Internet / hang out coffee shop, they should at least follow it up with food that warrants the prices. This pair was more than $9

Amazing. Took advantage of a group on deal. Ordered the almond coconut, pumpkin spice, and chocolate peanut butter oh and the gluten free chocolate. Loved them all!! My favorite was the chocolate peanut butter and the gluten free was so moist and flavorful, you wouldn't think twice that it didn't contain gluten. 3 thumbs up for Cafe Bonaparte!!

Love this cafe!We live in Hermosa Beach and stop by Cafe Bonaparte often. The service is always prompt and friendly. Their coffee is always excellent and they have a fantastic selection of really tasty quiches, pastries and deserts. We always look forward to our next visit.

I ordered a Turkey and egg croissant and by far the most delicious croissant ive ever had nice polite workers 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 speedy service delicious tea i will definitely be back 😍🤗🏖🥐🍵🙏🏾💞

The pastries are delicious and with the coffee combo is a game changer! I was referred here by my sister who enjoys going here every Sunday afternoon. Fresh treats and excellent atmosphere. What more can you ask for? A must!!!

Great coffee with a side of pastries please.

Just stopped in for coffee last night (Saturday), but once we had a look at their food display, couldn't help ordering salad, quiche, Napoleons, AND coffee. The onion-Gruyere quiche was excellent <- that's my dream order. But, I couldn't resist trying the roasted salmon, fennel and dill salad. It was SO flavorful and refreshing that I ate the whole thing PLUS my Napoleon! The Napoleon is huge with fresh strawberries and perfectly flavored/textured cream. And, the coffee (Lavazza!) was so rich and not bitter at all. The service was cheerful, helpful and patient (we took a long time to order). On a Saturday night in that immediate area? It's the only place holding onto it's dignity. LOL Wish I lived closer!

Great coffee and service, food was so so. My cafe breve was perfect. The yogurt was nothing special: boring granola and not high quality yogurt. My husband had the quiche which was just ok. There were several pastries but they looked like they had been sitting in the case for awhile, so we didn't try any. But a lovely location and certainly worth it for the coffee.

Great place to buy some food when in a rush. Their customer service is fast, prices are fair, awesome vibes. Would recommend to others

The workers were not friendly--they made me feel like it was a burden that i was ordering food. They were also really slow, and everything is very overpriced and both the food and coffee were not good at all considering the price. I'm all for supporting local shops, but my money would've been better spent at Starbucks nearby.

The food is delicious the staff also wonderful.

We come here often for dessert and breakfast on the weekends. We can't recommend this place enough! Great food, great service!

ITS SO GOOD!! All those people with “bad reviews” had bad luck that’s all!! I suggest this place to everyone!!! The Boss is a wonderful man and has a very nice family the service s SPOT on and the food is delicious!!!
